Oral-B Pro 1 750

The Oral-B range of electric toothbrushes can quite quickly get very complicated, if you are not familiar with them already.

There are many brushes with similar names and what appear to be similar specifications. Yet, very subtle differences set them apart.

And of course, new models get announced in an effort to refresh the range and interest.

The Oral-B Pro 1 750 is one such example.

I recently came across 2 new listings for this model on Amazon UK. But these listings in particular are for the ‘Design Edition’ models.

Design edition models are not new. It is something Oral-B have been creating for some time now. Essentially these are special edition models that have been given a little extra flare, normally by some particular print on the travel case.

These editions are less common and give that extra edge of personalisation on what otherwise might be a very plain white, black or clear plastic case.

I have previously seen the Oral-B Pro 750 before, but not the Pro 1 750.

So, having done as much research as I can, from what I can tell the situation is as follows.

The Pro 1 750 is the new and updated version of the Pro 750.

Oral-B Pro 1 750 Design Edition White

From a feature, design, and performance point of view the brush is essentially identical, although I believe the battery now lasts 10 days on a single charge compared to 7 days.

The key features of the brush then read as follows:

  • 1 cleaning mode (Daily Clean)
  • Built-in 2 minute timer and 30 second quadpacer
  • 1 x CrossAction brush head
  • 3D cleaning action
  • Built-in rechargeable battery (10 day battery life)
  • Water resistant handle
  • Slim handle with rubber grip on the front of the handle (different colours depending on variant)
  • 2 year warranty

However, with the design addition you get the added bonus of a travel case that will hold the handle and up to 2 brush heads.

Unlike most travel cases that a single colour, the design edition is available in 2 different styles, so you can pick the one that best suits you.

With 1 style you get a white handled brush and with the other you get a black edition handle and black coloured brush head to match.

Black Design Edition Pro 1 750

The 750 is a model normally sold in central Europe, in countries like Poland for example.

The UK equivalent is the Oral-B Pro 650.

What is important to note is models originally intended for sale in EU contuntries come supplied with a 2 pin EU power adapter instead of the 2 pin plug suitable for UK bathrooms.

Whilst this is to be confirmed, I believe the Pro 1 750 will be the same. Meaning out of the box, it will not connect to a UK 2 pin shaver socket. It is really intended for use within Europe, unless you have a UK charging stand.

At the time of writing the price is around £40 in the UK, with no confirmation of precisely when it will be available for shipping.

Whilst the stylish case is appealing, I would encourage you to seriously consider the Oral-B Pro 2 2500 instead.

The 2500 is a UK model that has a 2+ week battery life, a visible pressure sensor and an extra cleaning mode. Topping our list of best electric toothbrushes, it does too come with a travel case, but it doesn’t boast the more creative designs seen on the 750.

Selling at £35-40 on average the 2500 is the better value buy as you get more for your money.
