Oral-B Pro 1 750 review 1

Editor's note

This is not a full review of the Oral-B Pro 1 750, like you might be expecting.

This is because the Pro 1 750 is essentially identical to the Oral-B Pro 1 680, which I have reviewed in great detail.

I will explain in the following paragraphs what the differences are, but if you are considering the Pro 1 750, I seriously urge you to consider the Oral-B Pro 3 3500 instead.

It is in my opinion a better all-around purchase. It offers an extra cleaning mode, visible pressure sensor, more powerful clean and a better battery life. And it costs less most of the time too!

Pro 1 750 explained

The Pro 1 750 is the new and updated version of the Pro 750.

From a feature, design, and performance point of view, the brush is essentially identical.

The key features of the brush then read as follows:

  • 1 cleaning mode (Daily Clean)
  • Built-in 2 minute timer and 30 second quadpacer
  • 1 x CrossAction brush head
  • 3D cleaning action
  • Built-in rechargeable battery (10 day battery life)
  • Water resistant handle
  • Slim handle with rubber grip on the front of the handle (different colours depending on variant)
  • 2 year warranty

The 750 is a model normally sold in central Europe, in countries like Poland for example. It was not widely sold in the UK.

The UK equivalent of the 750, was the Oral-B Pro 650. That was until this new Pro 1 750 was launched. Note the extra '1' in the model name.

The Pro 1 750 is being made available in the UK.

You may also see the Pro 1 750 referred to as Pro 1 750 Design Edition, this is because the 750 comes with the added bonus of a travel case that will hold the handle and up to 2 brush heads.

Unlike most travel cases that a single colour, the design edition is available in 2 different styles, so you can pick the one that best suits you.

Oral-B Pro 1 750 White

At the time of writing, it is my understanding that the Pro 1 750 is sold primarily via Amazon in the UK.

Most other Oral-B electric toothbrushes are sold by multiple retailers, but on occasions, exclusivity arrangements are agreed.

I have no issue with this and I see the benefit for all involved.

However, in this instance, it appears only to confuse matters because the Pro 1 750 is almost identical to other similarly named models that Oral-B sells via other retailers.

The 750, is most similar to the Pro 1 680, in fact, technically it is identical.

Both brushes offer the same cleaning functions and capabilities.

The differences aside from the name relate to the colour of the grip on the brush handle, the brush head supplied in the box and the pattern printed on the travel case.

You can learn more in my comparison of the Pro 600, 650, 800 and 750 that goes into more detail about the differences and similarities.

I have tried though to highlight these differences best in the following bullet points:

Pro 1 750 / Pro 1 750 Design Edition

  • Grip colour:
    • White
    • Black
  • Brush heads
    • CrossAction
    • CrossAction (black in colour)
  • Travel case
    • White in colour with blue leaf pattern on the case supplied with white gripped handle (exceptions may apply)
    • White in colour with grey/blue  triangle pattern on the case supplied with black gripped handle (exceptions may apply)

Oral-B Pro 1 680

  • Grip colour:
    • Pink
    • White
    • Black
  • Brush heads
    • CrossAction
    • 3D White
  • Travel case
    • White in colour with pink leaf pattern on the case supplied with pink gripped handle (exceptions may apply)
    • White in colour with blue leaf pattern on the case supplied with white gripped handle (exceptions may apply)

In the box with the Pro 1 750 you get:

  • 1 x Pro 750 electric toothbrush handle
  • 1 x CrossAction brush head
  • 1 x Travel case
  • 1 x Charging stand
  • Documentation
Oral-B Pro 1 750 Box Contents

At the time of writing the price is around £40-45 in the UK, which in truth isn't the best price considering what you get.

To be fair it does a good job of cleaning the teeth, but I would encourage you to seriously consider the Oral-B Pro 3 3500 instead.

The 3500 has a 2+ week battery life as opposed to up to 10 days.

It has a visible pressure sensor which is more useful and an extra cleaning mode.

Topping our list of best electric toothbrushes, it does too come with a travel case, but it doesn't boast the more creative designs seen on the 750.

Selling at £35-40 on average the 3500 is the better value buy as you get more for your money.
